Still smarting from our misjudgement on day one, we wimped out on the third day and took the Hostel shuttle bus from Banff to Lake Louis (village).
From Lake Louise village, we took the scenic route to Whiskey Jack, taking in the beautiful Lake Louise which the near by village is named after. The Lake is one of the most picturesque in Canada with steep mountains rising either side of the turquoise waters.
Unfortunately time didn't permit for a detour to Lake Moraign which is said to be as stunning as Lake Louise.
Crossing the 'Great Divide' to British Columbia, we joined Route 1 and cycled west through Kicking Horse Pass. We then turned right and followed the Yoho river valley road to Whiskey Jack hostel. |
