Another chilly day as we continued North along Route 93. Soon after crossing into Jasper National Park we arrived at the Columbia ice fields centre.

The ice field is the largest glacier south of Alaska and really is worth a visit as its only a stones throw from the information centre.

Access to the glacier is via coach and snowmobile and you can walk around on the glacier once the snowmobile has stopped. There's also a very good museum back at the information centre.

By the time we arrived at Beauty Creek it was raining cats and dogs. Beauty Creek is another excellent small hostel with brilliant views over the Winston Churchill mountain range.
