We awoke to a light covering of snow on day 8 which had all but gone by the time we set off for Athabasca.
The great thing about Route 93 and other Canadian highways is the extra wide hard shoulders. For a cyclist these are ideal and this tour would not have been anything like as enjoyable had the roads been UK spec.
Before checking in at Athabasca hostel, we visited the very impresive Athabasca Waterfalls near by.
