With only 2 days left to get to back to Keflavik, we took the bus back to Reykjavik from Kirkjubaejarklaustur. The Bus service runs daily in both directions between Reykjavik and Hofn on the east coast of Iceland. It's a superb service, utilising big single decker buses that can take bikes in their huge luggage compartments. They also have no problems with bikes not packed in card board boxes!

By early evening, we had arrived back in Reykjavik, but still had an 8 mile ride to Hafnarfjörður. After much uncertainty navigating the map we arrived at the hostel, which is another busy international hostel, though not quite as plush as Reykjavik international.

A descent sulphur shower later, we headed down town for some dinner. The best we could manage was a Dominos Pizza, which didn't go down well with the old man who was hoping for a traditional Icelandic dish.
