GHOSTS IN THE MACHINE

Hardware that goes bump in the night

On this month's disk: Bloodwych - superb playable demo
GFA Basic 2 - Fully-working version

Contents

Cover Disk

  • GFA Basic It's faster, more structured and easier to use than ST BASIC and comes complete with a disk based manual On the disk are some demo programs to show you the power of the language
  • Stingray Anything could happen in the next half hour. Well that's what the Stingray demo says just before it plays the tune from the ancient TV series
  • PostMortem When you'd written a program and it bombed inexplicably then that was life, now thanks to PostMortem you can find out what those registers were up to before the bomb. Tracking down bugs will be much easier
  • Ramdisk RAM disks are very useful when copying files from one disk to another and this month's RAM disk has an advantage over many others, it sits in the GEM Desktop
  • Pentominoes Pentominoes is a mathematical game to keep your puzzled for many hours. Shapes made of 5 squares must be fitted into a grid. Reflect and rotate them to fit them in, provided you don't get a mental block of course
  • Bloodwych ST Format's 1st disk gets off to a flying start with level 1 of Bloodwych. It's similar in style to Dungeon Master but with simultaneous two player action. Shove that disk in the drive and get hacking away
